Working in partnership with
cardiologists from the Minneapolis Heart Institute and
Centracare, our staff is dedicated to keeping you healthy,
heart and soul.
Our Cardiology specialists are
renowned for an integrated approach to medical care. This
approach involves the full range of cardiovascular specialties,
working together toward excellence in all areas of heart disease
prevention and management.
Cardiology services include:
-
Holter Monitoring
Holter monitoring is a continuous recording of your heart
rhythm, usually for 24 to 48 hours, while you go about your
usual daily activities. It is especially useful in
diagnosing abnormal heart rhythms, or arrhythmias.
-
Pacemaker and ICD
Followup Program for individuals with abnormalities in
their cardiac electrical system.
-
Hutchinson Area Health
Care is part of the Acute Aortic Dissection Program
at Abbott Northwestern, where specialists from several
disciplines collaborate to provide the most advanced care
possible.
-
Level One Heart Attack
Program
Research shows that patients with certain types of heart
attacks are much more likely to recover fully if treated
within 90 minutes. This includes a treatment known as
percutaneous coronary intervention, or coronary angioplasty,
which requires a catheterization lab staffed by highly
skilled physicians and clinicians.
The treatment goal is to direct angioplasty/stenting within
90 minutes from the time patients arrive at the emergency
room at Hutchinson Community Hospital to balloon inflation
at the Abbott Northwestern catheterization lab.
-
Cardiac Rehabilitation
Our Cardiac Rehabilitation program is a medically supervised
program of exercise and education to help you recover
after a heart attack, from other forms of heart disease or
after surgery to treat heart disease. Cardiac rehabilitation
programs significantly increase your chances of survival.
