In today’s rapidly changing health care market, it is important to be informed about cost, quality and coverage in order to get the best health care possible. 

There is more than one type of charge resulting from a hospital stay, so you may receive more than one bill. These could include anesthesiologist, radiologists,  emergency department or other charges.. These charges will be sent you you separately. 

You can pay your bill:

• In person at the hospital front desk.
   

• By phone with a credit card.
   

• By mail with a check or money order or credit card (do not send cash through the mail).  When paying by mail, send your check, money order or credit card information to: Hutchinson Area Health Care, ATTN: Cashier, 1095 Highway 15 S., Hutchinson, MN 5535.
   

• Drop box locations: 
  Cashwise Foods on State Highway 15 
  Hutchinson City Center (parking lot) on Hassan Street

We offer the following payment options:

• Cash, check or money order: Make check or money order payable to Hutchinson Community Hospital, and include your account number. Mail the payment to Hutchinson Area Health Care, Attn: Cashier,  1095 Highway 15 South, Hutchinson, MN 55350.  
   

• Credit card: We accept MasterCard, Visa or Discover.  Credit card information can be mailed on your billing statement or provided by calling 1-320-234-5000 or 1-800-454-3903 (Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) and follow the automated prompts to reach a Patient Account Representative.

If you cannot pay your account in full within 30 days please call 1-320-234-5000 or 1- 800-454-3903 (Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) and follow the automated prompts to reach a Patient Account Representative.  This individual will you assist you in setting up payment arrangements and can also tell you about our financial assistance programs (see information below).  

Financial Assistance Programs

Providing convenient access to necessary medical care regardless of the patient’s ability to pay is important to us, and we want to help patients find a program that meets their financial needs.  We offer the following financial assistance programs: 

Uninsured Discount Program

Eligibility for the Uninsured Discount Program is based on annual household income.  Uninsured patients who meet this criteria are eligible for a discount on medically necessary hospital services.

The Uninsured Discount Program applies to medically necessary services provided at Hutchinson Community Hospital which are facility (i.e. non-professional) services, as well as to separately billable professional services provided by employees of Hutchinson Area Health Care provided at the Hutchinson Community Hospital.  These programs do not apply to professional services provided by persons not employed by Hutchinson Area Health Care.

Charity Care Program

The Charity Care Program eligibility is based on annual income, insurance, family size, and liquid assets.  If patients meet these guidelines, their total hospital balance will be zero.

The Charity Care Program applies to Medically Necessary Services provided at Hutchinson Area Health Care Facility.
